You must be at least 21 years old to purchase handguns and handgun ammunition.

What states have ammunition shipping restrictions?

Several states have restrictions on ammunition shipping. See our State Restrictions page for current requirements.

Key restrictions include: California (FFL only + background check), New York (varies by county), Massachusetts (FID required), Illinois (FOID required), Connecticut (permit required), New Jersey (FID or permit required).

10-round limit: CA, CT, DC, HI, MD, MA, NJ, NY

15-round limit: CO, VT (varies by firearm type)
